How to recycle waste EPS products?

Expandable polystyrene (EPS) has developed rapidly and is widely used in various shock-proof packaging, construction, decoration, tableware, etc. However, most of EPS packaging materials are disposable consumables, which are not easy to degrade after being discarded, causing great pollution to the environment. Therefore, the development of EPS recycling, regeneration and regeneration has become the most urgent task in the current EPS packaging industry. In recent years, the recycling and utilization of EPS waste in my country has been paid attention to by relevant departments. The government and other departments strengthened macro guidance and orderly management, and corresponding legal guidance and policy support policies were successively introduced. People's awareness of resources and environmental protection has been improved. Overall, my country has made considerable achievements in the recycling of EPS. For example, the use of waste EPS to produce XPS has become the main way of EPS recycling in my country.

The recycling of waste polystyrene foam products can not only protect the environment, save energy, but also have good economic benefits.

The current EPS recycling method has the following advantages:

1. Simple burial: This method is laborious, occupies land, and does not produce benefits

2. As a fuel for incineration, this method can generate heat energy, but the investment is large

3. EPS regeneration granulation equipment is used to regenerate EPS into PS particles after hot melt granulation. Then it is heated and melted into auxiliary agents such as foaming agent, flame retardant, nucleating agent, etc., and is processed to prepare XPS, which is widely used in building materials. At present, this recycling technology has been widely promoted in China and has become one of the main ways of EPS recycling.

4. Another method of EPS recycling is to pulverize EPS waste with a crusher, and then use a dust collector to remove dust and particles from the recycled material. Finally, the recycled material and the dedusted new material are mixed in a certain proportion with a mixer, and then reshaped in a forming machine or a plate making machine. Waste recycling and reuse, reducing production costs.
